Nostalgic Shadow

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed in the nostalgic shadow

Upon me, a soothing wind layered

which swayed me into yesteryears.

The saffron building with the red stripes

The aroma of roses and the heavenly vibes..

And a thousand moments to re-live.

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed in the nostalgic shadow

The wind swiped me into reminiscence

Reminiscence, of nostalgic fragrance

I see my shadow, right there

Joining hands, chanting prayers.

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed in nostalgic shadow.

From the chapel, I see my shadow

coming across, as I still gaze from the window

With the flick of an eye, my shadow disperses,

While, the nail of those memories;

this heart, still pierces…

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed in nostalgic shadow

The bells that shimmer,

The stars that glitter,

reminds me of little jesus’ arrival,

the supreme lord of survival.

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed into nostalgic shadow.

Echos of my voice, I hear,

Singing carols,

chanting hymns

The bells chime,

The stars sublime…

remind that it’s Christmas time

Gazing outside the window

I was absorbed into nostalgic shadow

Oh! I how wish, I never got back to my senses,

I wish, to be lost in the vision of my lenses,

Those years were spendid!

Forever to be cherished,

timeless, indeed!

Gazing out of the window,

I was absorbed into a nostalgic shadow.
